You made that smart decision and took that first step towards a healthier lifestyle and purchased your Nordic Track fitness equipment, yet unfortunately many times that lust for you wanting to break in your new machine and that willpower you once had surely fade.
All too often the excuses people have for not being able to fit in that workout one day or not having the desire nor energy to get on that treadmill or elliptical the next day start to trump the workouts themselves. This crazy thing we call life soon gets in the way and wins over our desires we once had to get fit. Well no more…it’s time to make your goals a priority and win over even those toughest excuses you once had.
We all lose the motivation and let the excuses come pouring in time to time, even the best of us let this happen. It’s the battle you have within yourself to not let these excuses get the best of you and talk you out of your workouts that really matters.
Knowing your health is a priority, the most important priority of your day will make you stick to your goals and not let those excuses get in your way!
Use these tips to help you Bust Those Top 3 ‘BUT’ Excuses:
“I want to work out BUT I don’t have the time”. Many people make the excuse their life is just way to hectic to find any more time to get in a workout. If you are online reading this, then I can assume you have time to fit in a 30 minute workout.
Most of the time it is those who are not using their time wisely, that say they do not have the time. Instead they are should be saying, “I don’t find my health a big enough priority to find the time”.
Go to bed earlier to get up earlier and fit it in before your day even starts. Working out first thing helps you eliminate any excuses you may find the rest of your busy day to not get in your workout.
Do HIIT workouts, as stated in this article, they are quick, yet extremely effective in helping you to get healthy and lose fat. Most only take 20 minutes, yet you can burn up to 300 calories and burn fat long after your workout is over.
“I want to work out, BUT I don’t know where to start”. Instead take it one step at a time instead of overwhelming yourself with a fitness regimen all at once.
Also try not being so hard on yourself and reward your little triumphs as much as much as your big successes. Many get overwhelmed with their new fitness regimens, they think they’re not doing it right and they soon give up as soon as they become frustrated.
Reward yourself for running for 5 minutes straight on the treadmill, and then work your way up. Start small, this way it won’t seem so overwhelming.
“I want to work out, BUT I am bored of my routine.” Many times people get stuck in their same treadmill run or same elliptical workout that they soon get bored and that is when they find an excuse to not do these workouts. Instead switch up your routines to keep things interesting.
There are plenty of workouts you can find online, or many treadmills come with the iFit live to give you an endless amount of workouts at your fingertips to help switch things up and keep you motivated.
Also try occupying yourself during your workouts. Place your television in front of your treadmill to help you from getting bored. Watch your favorite shows while you work out and your hour run with go by in no time. Try the NordicTrack Elite 9500 Pro treadmill; it comes with the iFit live, as well as a 10” web browser where you can watch YouTube videos. You may actually look forward to your runs with this one!
Don’t let these BUT excuses stop you from reaching your fitness goals, when you have one bad day and let that excuse get the best of you, get back on track the next day and bust those but’s in the butt!!!
